During contractions it's hard to think straight and having a person who is following your birth plan and is your voice was really helpful. She is really warm, friendly, informative and professional. Everything a doula should be. I learned that giving birth doesn't have to be a stressful experience. It can be easy, if you have the right people and enough information.
